Overview

About This Service

Domestic Money Transfer lets migrant workers and customers without easy bank access send cash to any bank account in India through IMPS or NEFT. The Aadhaar-enabled Payment System goes further, allowing customers to withdraw cash, deposit, check balance, and make a mini statement using only their Aadhaar number and fingerprint โ€” no card and no passbook needed. Both services require a biometric device at your kendra. Per-transaction and monthly limits apply under RBI rules, and sender KYC is mandatory for remittances.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is AePS?
The Aadhaar-enabled Payment System lets a customer withdraw cash, deposit, check balance, or get a mini statement using their Aadhaar number and fingerprint alone. It is designed for people without cards or convenient branch access.
What does the customer need to bring?
For AePS, only their Aadhaar number and their finger for biometric authentication. For a money transfer, the sender needs their Aadhaar-linked mobile for OTP verification plus the beneficiary account number and IFSC.
What are the transaction limits?
Domestic money transfer is subject to RBI-prescribed per-transaction and monthly ceilings per sender. AePS withdrawals are additionally subject to limits set by the customer own bank. Current limits are displayed in your dashboard.
Do I need special hardware?
Yes. A certified biometric fingerprint scanner registered to your partner account is mandatory for AePS. Money transfer via IMPS can be done without it.
What if money is debited but not credited to the beneficiary?
The transaction is tracked and auto-reversed if it fails at the beneficiary bank, typically within one to three working days. A reference number is generated for you to raise a dispute if it does not resolve.
